Studies show that spending time unmasked indoors at businesses such as restaurants and gyms significantly increases your risk of contracting COVID-19, even when physical distancing is present. Getting food to-go, dining outside and taking part in virtual activities from home are much safer.

We all miss the ease of a night out savoring seafood in Old Town or a leisurely brunch at a Del Ray eatery. Satisfy your craving (and take a global culinary adventure) with takeout, curbside pickup and delivery from more than 100 restaurants via ALX at Home. Now that Alexandria is in Phase 3 of the state’s Safer at Home reopening plan, some restaurants are reopening with physically distanced indoor dining spaces, in addition to limited outdoor dining options. If you’re interested in trying indoor restaurant dining, we’ve compiled a guide of what’s open right now. Be sure to call ahead to confirm availability and make a reservation, as seating is extremely limited during this phase.

Please remember that face coverings are required anytime you are unable to maintain six feet of physical distancing, indoors and outdoors, and must be worn indoors when not eating; this includes while ordering your food, waiting for your food, after eating and anytime you are not seated at your table.Read more about the CDC’s recommendations related to restaurant dining, including how to improve mask protection with layering and proper fit.
