Carla leads the Visit Alexandria’s group sales team. Using her well-rounded hospitality experience as a former hotel supplier and buyer, Carla collaborates with organizations to achieve successful events in Alexandria. You can connect with Carla to discuss business opportunities from Virginia and the Northeast along with the international market.  She is an active member of CVB Reps, RHMP, and PCMA’s Capital, Chesapeake and Philly chapters.

Melanie manages Visit Alexandria membership, ensuring that members maximize their benefits, to include marketing, publications, advertising, education and promotions. Melanie also oversees the Alexandria Visitor Center, keeping staff up to date on local events and happenings, seasonal tours, and promotions.  She also coordinates the distribution of Visitor Guides and maps to individuals, members, and groups.

She is also responsible for helping members manage their content on Visit Alexandria’s website through listings, events and special offers.

Elissa manages Visit Alexandria’s program of annual events and activations for stakeholders and partners. She supports partnerships with businesses and organizations along with City departments to produce and elevate activation along the King Street corridor and at the waterfront including leading the production of Portside in Old Town Summer Festival and the Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights. She also manages the Film Office and oversees the film permit process for the City of Alexandria.
