Visit Alexandria is the nonprofit tourism marketing organization for Alexandria, Virginia, promoting the city as a premier destination for leisure and business travel. The organization has 450 members, a $5 million budget and 15 employees. Visit Alexandria has built a strong staff and key partnerships with peer organizations and City departments to accomplish its mission. It is guided by a board of 15, representing a diverse range of industry sectors, expertise, race, age, gender and neighborhood.

Director of Membership & Visitor Services
The Director of Membership & Visitor Services is a department leader responsible for driving Visit Alexandria’s private revenue generation, including our membership program and visitor experience operations. The Director is an entrepreneurial self-starter who owns the strategic direction, growth, and long-term value of the membership program while ensuring Alexandria’s Visitor Center delivers a best-in-class hospitality experience aligned with the city’s brand and economic goals. This role is expected to be highly visible and connected in the community, serving as a key Visit Alexandria leader in the community who facilitates and inspires strong connections between Alexandria’s business community and Visit Alexandria’s program of work.

Visitor Center Floor Supervisor
The Floor Supervisor supports the success of the Alexandria Visitor Center by leading daily front-of-house operations and ensuring every guest receives exceptional hospitality. This role supervises and coaches frontline staff, oversees scheduling, merchandising, and point-of-sale processes, and helps maintain a welcoming, well-organized environment that reflects Alexandria’s brand. Working closely with the Visitor Services Manager, the Floor Supervisor contributes to programming, marketing activations, and reporting that enhance the visitor experience and promote Alexandria’s retail, dining, and cultural offerings.
