Alexandria Visitor Center

From Our Partners

Planning a trip to Alexandria? When you arrive, make your first stop the Alexandria Visitor Center, located at 221 King Street in Old Town. You’ll find brochures, maps and tickets to a variety of tours and attractions. Our knowledgeable staff is ready to help you find local favorites and ongoing events. You can also enjoy our gift shop with Alexandria souvenirs, free Wi-Fi, directions and transportation information and more.

The Alexandria Visitor Center was once a private home to the family of William Ramsay, Scottish merchant, and city founder. Today, you can still find warm hospitality waiting for you.

The Alexandria Visitor Center is open 7 days a week. Masks are optional for staff and visitors inside the Visitor Center at this time.

Alexandria is currently at a low COVID-19 community level. Wearing a mask is not required in most settings, but individuals are welcome to do so at any time; certain businesses may still require masks. Learn more.
