Todd works collaboratively with the City, staff, board, members, economic development partners, and the community to maximize the benefits of tourism for the City of Alexandria.

As a member of the senior leadership team, Claire establishes strategic marketing priorities, develops and cultivates partnerships and visions new promotional initiatives. She leads the development and integration of Alexandria’s destination brand strategy and oversees the marketing and communications team in advertising, media relations, marketing research, social media, content development, collateral development, creative development and film office operations. Melanie manages Visit Alexandria membership, ensuring that members maximize their benefits, to include marketing, publications, advertising, education and promotions. Melanie also oversees the Alexandria Visitor Center, keeping staff up to date on local events and happenings, seasonal tours, and promotions.  She also coordinates the distribution of Visitor Guides and maps to individuals, members, and groups.

Vito directs and implements advertising campaigns for Visit Alexandria and manages relationships with its marketing agencies. He also conducts and analyzes primary and secondary tourism industry research on behalf of Visit Alexandria and its membership. She is also responsible for helping members manage their content on Visit Alexandria’s website through listings, events and special offers.
