Josephine

Set in a former 1800s-era firehouse, dining at Josephine is a transportive experience that gives you a taste of century-old French flavors while celebrating the elegance of Parisian life. The Neighborhood Restaurant Group carefully preserved the building, transforming it into a refined multi-level Parisian dining space embellished with antique millwork and vintage pendant lights once hung in the Paris Metro.
Each room has been carefully repurposed into three dining rooms and a quiet bar area. The third floor now features a cozy lounge, a fireplace, and a hidden champagne bar. An outdoor courtyard emulates the charm of hidden Paris courtyards. Over drinks and delicious bites, one can imagine the activity of the historic Columbia Steam Engine Fire Company, as it was named in the early 1880s after the Star Fire Company reorganized following the destruction of fire equipment during the Civil War.
Josephine invites you to savor the flavors of classic French dishes like steak au poivre, beef bourguignon, and pâté de campagne, all made with a meticulously crafted veal stock from century-old recipes. Enjoy select wines from across France in ornately decorated rooms, a brightly lit arched skylight, and reflect on the Art Nouveau period through the restaurant’s decorative stained-glass art. Bring the experience home as a member of their explorative wine club: Vin Voyage Club. By tasting select wines from all over France, you can experience the complexity of French traditions and their influence on modern flavors. Josephine offers an evocative dining experience and expertly crafted cuisine that honors French history with a modernized twist.
