Welcome to Alexandria: Home of the Gonzaga Rugby Classic

April 25-26, 2026
Gonzaga Rugby Classic
The Gonzaga Rugby Classic will be held on April 25–26, 2026 at George Washington Middle School in Alexandria, Virginia.
Established in 2010 by Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., the Classic was originally created to bring together top Jesuit rugby programs for a weekend of high-level competition and camaraderie.

Over the years, it has grown into a nationally recognized showcase of scholastic rugby, welcoming elite boys’ and girls’ teams from leading programs across the country. We are welcoming 24 teams (including at least 8 girls teams) and ~700 players and coaches (plus family) from MA, CT, PA, NJ, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC and GA. Local teams include Gonzaga, Alexandria City, Ft Hunt and West Springfield.
The Gonzaga Rugby Classic has become a cornerstone event in the Mid-Atlantic rugby community and a celebration of the sport’s continued growth in the United States.
