Virtue Feed & Grain is an American Tavern with modern-rustic decor and an upbeat atmosphere. Enjoy a meal on our patio, take in the view of the Potomac from our second level Porch room, relax with a cocktail in our Sofa Lounge, or host a memorable event in one of our many event spaces.

This historic building was once used as a feed house in the 1800s. Bordering Wales Alley, the structure is shrouded with coincidental signs that the project was meant to be: A former Alexandria Mayor and Irishman, John Fitzgerald, shared ownership of the alley where beer was sold as early as 1786. It was later named for Andrew Wales, the owner of the brewery.
