The Commodore

Washington, DC’s Dupont Circle neighborhood favorite The Commodore is crossing the river. Owners Rob Van de Graaff and Steve Kim are planning a second location at 220 N. Lee Street in Old Town Alexandria, with a target opening of March 2026.

The Alexandria outpost will bring The Commodore’s signature “Five-Star Dive Bar” energy from Dupont Circle to Old Town, featuring the same beloved pub fare, drinks, and nightly programming like trivia and bingo that guests know from the D.C. original—plus the addition of Chicago tavern-style pizza.
