Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum
Opened in 1792 by young Quaker pharmacist Edward Stabler, the family business operated until 1933. Patrons included George & Martha Washington. Over 15,000 objects still remain as part of the museum’s collection – everything from herbs to bottles.
The Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum offers a discounted rate for groups of 10 or more that book at least two weeks in advance. The museum can accommodate up to approximately 30 people at a time and it takes between 30 and 45 minutes to take a group through.
