Originally part of George Washington’s farmlands and now headquarters of the American Horticultural Society, historic River Farm is nestled on 25 acres of lush gardens and woods overlooking the Potomac River, just four miles south of Old Town Alexandria.  
Tucked conveniently close to the Washington, D.C. metro area with free on-site parking, River Farm serves as an ideal location for your organization’s business or health and wellness retreat, corporate reception, product launch, or business meeting, any time of the year. The manor-style house, formal and informal gardens, captivating views of the Potomac and sprawling lawns offer endless options for your creativity in planning a memorable event. 

Patio: Our spacious slate patio overlooks the Potomac River and is canopied April through November. Our new regal tents feature retractable side walls with Palladium windows, crystal chandeliers, perimeter bistro lights, and a billowy ceiling liner to create an elegant outdoor setting.    
Capacity: Main tent accommodates 160 guests seated at tables or 260 guests seated theater-style; Identical seamless extension tent increases capacity to 240 guests seated at tables or 400 guests seated theater-style.
Ballroom: Great space for small meetings and events, our classic Ballroom with hardwood floor and crystal chandelier holds 50 guests seated at tables or 80 guests seated theater-style. 
Front Parlor: Ideal for smaller meetings and events, our parlor is a welcoming and comfortably elegant space for up to 25 guests. The Parlor features a spectacular picture window view of the gardens and Potomac River.
