An established tradition on Union Street in Old Town, 1986 – The Whiskey Bar occupies the recently renovated and re-designed back bar of Union Street Public House restaurant. Taking its 1986 name from the year Union Street opened, 1986 offers tastings from a growing list of more than three dozen different whiskeys and bourbons, as well as whiskey based signature cocktails, including The Irish Brigade, a vanilla infused Jameson with cold brewed chamomile tea and luxardo, the Border War – tequila, rye, sweet vermouth, ancho reyes, Boulevardier – bourbon, sweet vermouth, Campari, or Old Cuban – Barcardi 8, mint, bitters, cava, lime, and bar syrup.
Union Street Public House, an established tradition in Old Town, opened in 1986 in a restored colonial warehouse and has served the best in locally sourced steaks, chops and seafood ever since. Our Tap Room features 20 beers from area craft brewers plus an extensive selection of other brews in bottles and cans.
