We know that even as masking and distancing restrictions ease, safety is a top priority when visiting Alexandria’s local restaurantsshops, or staying overnight at our hotels. The Alexandria Health Department and Visit Alexandria continue to be committed to lowering risk with the ALX Promise Gold program, which focuses on ongoing trainingreporting cases and employee vaccination efforts. The ALX Promise Gold shield displayed on a business’ window indicates that they have committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment using the highest safety standards. This program is an evolution of the ALX Promise program launched in May 2020, which focused on safety guidelines at that time with hundreds of participating businesses.

Please check back soon to see a list of ALX Promise Gold partners as many businesses are still completing the necessary training steps to be featured here.
