Principle Gallery: GC Myers Solo Exhibition: “Flow” & Opening Reception
In Flow, GC Myers will continue his exploration of internal landscapes, where color, line, and texture take precedence over literal description. Influenced by Art Nouveau, Eastern philosophy, and American modernism, his compositions transform natural elements into rhythmic, immersive spaces that feel more like states of mind than specific locations.
Movement runs through every painting. Paths bend, forms pulse, and the surface carries a quiet energy that builds through layered marks and controlled spontaneity. The result is work that feels both meditative and alive, inviting you in, but never standing still.
Join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, June 12th from 68:30 pm. This event is free and open to all!
About GC Myers:
A self-taught artist living in the Finger Lakes region of New York, GC Myers came to painting through an unexpected set of circumstances. After a serious accident, Myers found that his recovery time sparked his imagination, and he began to experiment with painting. He soon fell in love and has pursued painting full-time ever since.
A painter of internal landscapes, his work reflects several diverse influences, including Art Nouveau, Eastern philosophy, American Regionalist and Modernist paintings, and Abstract Expressionism. Vividly colorful and filled with evocative lines and textures, these paintings manage to transform the landscape into a subject that is highly emotional and contemplative.
