Free Afternoon Chamber Music: Summer Sundays at the Lyceum

FREE CONCERT – Chamber music series on Summer Sunday afternoons at the Lyceum.
Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association presents its 34th season of Summer Sunday chamber music at the Lyceum. Enjoy these 3 p.m. concerts as a change from the weather or chores! No tickets required. Suggested freewill donation is $25.

WMPA is a proud 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to enrich, inspire, and educate through live performances of high-quality music. Based in Alexandria, the WMP Association not only presents this concert series, but a number of full symphonic concerts during the season with its professional and semi-professional musicians. Additionally, WMPA supports TWO youth orchestras which offer extraordinary music opportunities to middle and high school students. WMPA also has brought bilingual children’s concerts to the city’s West End.

Donations from individuals constitute the largest part of revenue needed to bring these performing arts to the community. Hence, the suggested donation. NOTE: June 2nd concert is at 7 p.m, all others at 3 p.m. No concert July 7th.
