American History Trivia
We are surrounded by history, especially in the DMV. From Smithsonian visits to Monument tours to reading the plaques along the sidewalks in Old Town, we can all consider ourselves history buffs. But can you prove it? In honor of George Washington’s birthday celebration this upcoming February, we are hosting American History Trivia on Thursday, January 16th! We are covering 5 categories of US History, from the beginning facts you learned in Elementary School to a modern array of accomplishments. Timing nicely with the Presidential Inauguration, let’s take a look back at how we made it here!
The Tasting Room opens at 3:00 p.m. Trivia starts at 7 p.m. Come match wits with your fellow historians in an effort to attain the coveted title of “Port City Trivia Champion”. George Washington’s Birthday Celebration Committee will be in house collecting donations and looking for sponsors and parade participants for the birthday parade on Saturday Feb 15th. Find out more info at https://washingtonbirthday.com/ Your host, Julia, will come prepared to deliver an array of fun and thought-provoking questions for trivia to prepare you for the festivities ahead. Be sure to register your team to ensure you have a table!
Rules: Trivia will start promptly at 7pm. Teams are limited to no more than 6 of your fellow time-travelers. Pre-registration in advance is required through our website or at the link below. Phones must stay off the table and away or we’ll have the ghost of James K. Polk haunt you. Wondering how to soak up all that delicious beer and knowledge? Our new restaurant, La Tingeria will be open for your dinner and snacking needs!
