The Lee-Fendall House Museum is a historic house, located in Old Town, Alexandria. Since its construction in 1785, the house has served as home to members of the Lee family, enslaved and free African American servants, convalescing Union soldiers, the locally prominent Downham family, and powerful labor leader John L. Lewis. Through the changing lives and fortunes of the people who lived and worked in the house, the museum interprets two hundred years of local and national history.
