Marquis de Lafayette Returns

To mark the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s historic visit to George Washington’s Mount Vernon, enjoy lunch and a compelling discussion with historian Elizabeth Reese, who will discuss her new book, Marquis de Lafayette Returns: A Tour of America’s National Capital Region. 

Participants will be able to attend a post-lunch reenactment of Lafayette’s historic visit to the Old Tomb, followed by a special wreath-laying ceremony at Washington’s Tomb.
