Cold Reading Workshop
Instructor: Sarah Holt—In this fun in-person workshop, you’ll be given “sides” (short scenes from a play) to prepare as if you’re actually auditioning. Working in pairs, you’ll practice finding the important facts, making choices based on what the playwright has written and your own instincts, and quickly adapting to direction. If there’s time, we’ll also practice auditioning with a reader. Some acting training is helpful, but not required.
Participants must be fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination required on or before the first class. Decisions about whether masks are required will be communicated to students before the workshop date. If masks are still required, they will not be worn when performing.
